Changing SAS preference

Making the Linux SAS 9.4 Program Editor behave in a similar way to the Windows Program Editor requires a few steps

  1. Start SAS using the guide found here.
  2. Change the Program Editor to add new lines after the Return/Enter key is used:
    1. On the Program Editor window, click Tools, then Options, and select Program Editor…
    2. Select the Editing tab and unselect “Autoadd lines at the end of text”. Click OK to save and close the Program Editor Options window.
  3. Change the Program Editor to not automatically copy selected text:
    1. In the Program Editor window, select Tools, then Options, and click “Preferences…”
    2. Select the Editing tab and unselect the “Automatically store selection” option. Click OK to save and exit.
